There is a Sport Hall of Fame scholarship program which aims to help young Australians reach the highest level of their sport. It provides access to a mentor within the Australian Hall of Fame for one year along with a grant of $5000.

Competing in her debut marathon, Sarah McRae held fantastic form throughout the 42.2km distance to finish in 4^th place behind the Japanese tri-fecta. McRae was pleased with the time of 2:39:37, as was Coach Richard Telford who has followed Sarah’s preparations closely in recent months.
