Jakeman and Boden triumph at ProAM Classic |

Former Queanbeyan Gift winners John Jakeman and Lauren Boden took out the men's and women's 120m respectively at the New South Wales Athletics League Pro Am at the AIS track last week. Jakeman, one of ACT's best sprinters, running from the backmark of 6.75m, pocketed $2400 for his effort, but not before some tense moments after being given the same time of 12.29 seconds as defending champion Andrew Pirie in second. Boden collected $1100 for winning the women's gift in 13.72 seconds which was exceptional running off her mark of 2.50m.
