Please find below the program for Week 5 of the Athletics ACT Summer Series on November 18. Please note that this in a Non-Permit meet for Throws events.
Please note that the program has been updated due to the addition of the 400m Hurdles and only two sessions of Long Jump
Event Entry Instructions
Please also find below the Entry Form. This form is to be completed and handed in to the Administration area in the Commonwealth Room at least 30 minutes before the first event being entered by the athlete. The 30 minute entry cut off is now being strictly enforced.
A reminder that athletes must enter a time for ALL track events. Entry Forms will NOT be accepted unless athletes fill in times for ALLTrack events. Also, if an athlete decides to NOT compete in an event which they entered at the start of the night, please let the Admin Officials or the Track Referee at the start/finish area know that you are withdrawing.

Please find below the Program for Meet on Thursday November 24. Process for AACT athletes: - AACT athletes of all ages are welcome to compete
at this meet.
- This meet is an ACT Vet meet and we are guests
of them at this meet. It is not a joint meet.
- Competition fee will be $5 to be paid at the
Commonwealth Room.
- There are no standards for field events and
athletes can choose to compete in whichever time slot for field events they
wish. Athletes cannot compete in the same event twice at different time slots.
- For track events, athletes turn up to the event
site to be marshaled into heats.
- There is no Entry Form for this event

AACT, North Canberra Gungahlin, Weston Creek and Woden Harriers are the proud supporters of the event and made it possible to offer cash prizes at the event for the male and female categories

Triathlon ACT has introduced the TACT Running Series to be held this season as part of the 2011-2012 Capital Summer Series. It is a great opportunity for Canberra’s finest Runners to test and measure their skills alongside Canberra’s finest Tri-athletes over four 10km events. See Attachment for further info. |

The All Schools Championships will be held December 3 & 4 at the University of Queensland, St Lucia, Brisbane.
Accommodation & Travel
The ACT team will be staying as a team at the University of Queensland. Queensland Athletics have negotiated a reasonable nightly rate ($77 per person) with meals included. If you would prefer to make your own arrangements, please let one of the team managers know.
The Team Managers are traveling on the following flights:
Flight No:DJ1217 Virgin Australia DEPARTING Canberra - 12:30pm, Fri 02 Dec 2011 ARRIVING Brisbane - 1:10pm
Flight No:DJ1226 Virgin Australia DEPARTING Brisbane - 7:15pm, Sun 04 Dec 2011 ARRIVING Canberra - 10:00pm

ACT Selection Policy
Please find below the ACT Selection Policy for the Australian All Schools Championships and the Expression of Interest Form.
If you would like to compete at the 2011 Australian All Schools event, please compete the Expression of Interest Form and return it to the office. The early you do this the better as there is not much time between the ACT School Championships and the time we have to select the team.
Team Selection
Final selection of the team will take place on Thursday 10th November at the Secondary Schools ACT Championships and the team will be announced on the website on Friday 11th November.
Uniforms and Entry Payment
On the 18th and 24th November from 6.30pm until 8.30pm the Team Managers will be in the Athletics ACT office taking entry payment and you can purchase uniforms at this time too. An ACT competition Uniform must be worn by athletes in the team.

Australian Road Walking Championships will be held on Sunday August 21
at Weston Park. This event is a joint venture involving Athletics Australia,
the State Associations and Racewalking Australia. Events to be conducted are:

The Australian Cross Country
Championships will be held on Saturday August 20 at Stromlo Forest Park in
conjunction with the Australian All Schools Championships. This event will be
conducted by Athletics ACT, Athletics Australia and School Sport Australia.
Volunteers Required!!!
AACT is calling for expressions of
interest to volunteer at the 2011 School Sport Australia/Athletics Australia
National Cross Country Championships Stromlo Forest Park. Family
and friends of AACT members are also very welcome to register.

Canberra-Gungahlin Athletics Club is conducting the 2011 Northside
Schools Cross Country & Fun Run program Saturday mornings through to
August. Meet at McDermott
Place, Lake Ginninderra
Season Registration: $20 a single person, $40 a family, or $5 per
Saturday. Registrations
are taken at any event during the season.
Special features: · Encouragement awards each run when time
improves · Parents and teachers and fun runners run last
