The 2018-19 Athletics ACT Combined Events Championships is on the weekend Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th January 2019. These Championships will held at the AIS Athletics Field.
Please note that, as at 1 January 2019, the age group determination date is 31 December 2019. This means that athletes born in 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005 will now compete in the next older age group to that which they competed in prior to 1 January 2019. For example, an athlete born in 2003 competed as an Under 14 age group athlete up to 31 December 2018 but will now compete as an Under 18 age group athlete.
The Combined Event entry fee is $27.00 (free for athletes who have taken out an AACT Gold Membership). Entry for the Combined Events must be done on-line. The on-line entries close at 9:00pm on the Thursday immediately preceding the championships. The entry close date and time is strictly enforced and there are no late entries.
The On-Line Individual Event entry fee is $7.00 per event (to a maximum of $22.00). On-day entry is available for the Individual Events and the fee is $15.00 per event (maximum of $48.00). The on-line entries close at 9:00pm on the Thursday immediately preceding the carnival. On-day entries close no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of each event entered.
The Combined Events offered are:
Open, Under 20, Under 18 and Masters Mens Decathlon;
Open, Under 20, Under 18 and Under 16 Womens Heptathlon;
Under 16 Boys Heptathlon;
Under 14 Boys and Girls Pentathlon;
Masters Mens and Womens Pentathlon; and
Little Athletics Under 15 Heptathlon
The multi event point systems used for these Championships are:
- Under 18, Under 20, Open and Masters - IAAF FAT Points Table
- Under 14 & Under 16 - Alberta Youth Points Table
If athletes need/want their points converted to other point systems, they are responsible to undertake this themselves using the actual event performances as notified/published.
There will also be Individual Events offered. The track events are 60, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3k, 5k, 1 Mile Championships, sprint & long hurdles, 1500m,2k & 3k Steeple, 1.5k/3k/5k Walks and 4 x 100 & 4 x 400 relays. The field events are Javelin, Discus, Shot Put, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump and Pole Vault.
