Senior Participation and Development Officer
Athletics ACT (AACT) and Little Athletics (LAACT) are jointly seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to promote the sport of athletics as a viable and exciting sports participation option.
As the Senior PDO, the successful applicant will be responsible for the development and implementation of plans to achieve the strategic development and participation priorities for both LAACT and AACT. The primary objectives, at present, are to increase the number of participating athletes (aged 5 to 18 years), coaches and officials in the sport of athletics in the ACT and surrounding regions.
The role will require building relationships with the athletics community in the ACT and surrounding regions, including Little Athletics Centres, athletics clubs, schools, coaches, officials, competition volunteers and various other stakeholders.

Full time (38 hours per week) - flexible hours
Initial contract will be for two (2) years.
This position reports to the Joint Boards of Athletics ACT and Little Athletics ACT.
Work will primarily be based at the LAACT Office (Woden Park) and the AACT Office (AIS Athletics Track, Bruce)

- Demonstrated experience in sports administration and youth development
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to determine work priorities
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication and liaison skills
- Ability to undertake flexible working hours (out of hours and weekend work will be required at certain times of the year)
